Andrei Klishas, head of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building, said that the decisions of the International Criminal Court (ICC) are null and void for Russia, and therefore a legislative reaction to it from the Russian authorities would be unnecessary. He told TASS about this.
According to him, the ICC is a fictitious institution, and its decisions do not create legal consequences for Russia.
“The legislative response of the Russian authorities to this corrupt and incompetent quasi-court would be unnecessary,” Klishas said.
Grigory Karasin, head of the international committee of the Federation Council, also urged to stop discussing the ICC. He wrote in his Telegram channel that when I discuss this body, political scientists only "popularize the enemy's plan."
Karasin added that there is no need to “emotionally frighten” the Russians and that the existence of the ICC must be forgotten.
Earlier, the pre-trial chamber of the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova.
