The RFU called another gross mistake of the referee in the match between Dynamo and Zenit

The expert-judging commission of the RFU came to the conclusion that Yevgeny Kukulyak should have removed Zelimkhan Bakaev in the 73rd minute for unsportsmanlike behavior

The main referee of the match between Zenit and Dynamo Moscow in the Fonbet - Russian Cup Evgeny Kukulyak was supposed to leave the St. Petersburg club in the minority in the second half, removing Zelimkhan Bakaev for unsportsmanlike behavior, according to the RFU website.

On March 15, Dynamo defeated Zenit in a penalty shootout in the match of the second stage of the 1/4 finals of the Way of the Regions. After the game, the blue and white had claims against the referee. The general director of the club, Pavel Pivovarov, offered to test Kukulyak on a polygraph because, even after a hint from VAR, he did not assign a penalty for a violation on Konstantin Tyukavin.

Also, according to the expert referee commission of the RFU, Kukulyak mistakenly did not issue a second warning to the Zenit player Zelimkhan Bakaev in the 73rd minute of the match. The midfielder received his first warning in the 70th minute.

“Bakaev demonstrates a clear disagreement with the decision of the refereeing team with words and gestures. The commission emphasizes that this action is obviously aimed at the referee and the assistant referee, expressed in hitting the lawn of the football field with his hands and further appeals and gestures, ”the decision says.

Earlier, the head of the refereeing department of the RFU, Pavel Kamantsev, said that Kukulyak would not be able to count on appointments for some time, and after a pause, he would return to work in the matches of the First League.
