Arsenal defender Alexander Zinchenko noted that he is grateful to Ufa, where he began his professional career, but after the start of the special operation, he does not want to hear anything about Russia
The defender of the London Arsenal and the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Zinchenko told the Daily Mail that after the start of the special operation, he no longer wants to remember the time spent in Russia.
Zinchenko began his professional career at Ufa in 2015. He played there until the summer of 2016 when he moved to the English side Manchester City.
“I am grateful to Ufa for everything they have done for me. But after the start of the special operation, I do not want to have any memories of that time. To be honest, I don’t even want to hear anything about this country,” Zinchenko said.
As part of Manchester City, Zinchenko became a four-time champion of England, and in winning the FA Cup and four Super Cups in the country. In the summer of 2022, Zinchenko moved to Arsenal.
As part of the Ukrainian national team, Zinchenko played 52 matches and scored eight goals.
