Iraqi Health Ministry spokesman Seif al-Badr said the agency had recorded more than 500 cases of asphyxiation as a result of the dust storm.
“More than 515 patients with cases of suffocation of varying severity as a result of a dust storm that took place yesterday in parts of the country were admitted to the medical institutions of Baghdad and the provinces,” he told the INA news agency.
It is specified that all the victims were provided with urgent medical care, and most of them have already been discharged from hospitals. There were no fatalities as a result of the field storm.
