American journalists will experience maximum discomfort after Washington refuses to issue American visas to a pool of Russian journalists to work at UN events in New York, RIA Novosti reports, citing a diplomatic source.
He noted that after Washington's attitude towards Russian journalists, the United States would not be surprised by a similar attitude towards its own journalists.
According to the source, it became obvious that the care that the American authorities show to the journalist Gershkovich is imaginary.
“There [should] be no doubt that American journalists will experience all the discomfort and inconvenience, and a similar attitude,” the source told reporters.
Earlier, the embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington called the attempts of the American press to present the journalist of The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) arrested for espionage in Russia, Evan Gershkovich, as an innocent victim of manipulation.
