The 2GIS application has appeared in the App Store again
The 2GIS cartographic service has again become available for download in the App Store, RBC was told in the company's press service. It was removed from the app store last fall.
The application can already be installed. 2GIS promised to release an update shortly.
2GIS disappeared from the Apple app store last September. Already installed applications continued to work. In the Android app store - Google Play - it remained available.
The main owner of 2GIS is Sberbank, which has owned 72% of the company since 2020. The application of the Sberbank Online bank itself is not available either in the App Store or on Google Play. It was removed after Washington imposed sanctions against Sberbank last April, which imply a ban on American businesses from cooperating with a Russian company.
On April 19, Sberbank's new SBOL app appeared in the App Store. Those customers who already had Sberbank Online or SBOL (another bank application that was repeatedly removed from the store) installed were recommended to download the new application. However, on April 21, SBOL was removed from the App Store.
