The nominal volume of GDP, taking into account the four annexed regions in 2023, will amount to 159.81 trillion rubles, and without them - 157.777 trillion. Thus, the total GDP of the four new regions is estimated at 2 trillion rubles.

Thus, the total GDP of the DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions this year was estimated by the agency at about 2 trillion rubles.

Four regions became part of Russia on September 30 following the results of referendums. Together with them, the number of entities in the country reached 89.

Russia's GDP in 2022 amounted to 153.435 trillion rubles. taking into account "economic activity associated with new territories". We are talking about “activities for the production and release of goods and services carried out on the territory of 85 subjects for final consumption on the territory of new subjects,” the Ministry of Economics explained.

The ministry promised to clarify the figures "as official statistics are released" from the annexed regions.

Rosstat reported in early April that GDP for 2022 amounted to 153.435 trillion rubles. excluding statistical information on the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. GDP decreased by 2.1% compared to 2021.
